I use to have AT&T universal credit card with balance of $9000 which i was making payments fine on it until i got married and divorced everything ruined in my life. Now they are asking for $14,000 and its in hand of collection agency. I owe these below: 1. MCM--------------$2700 2. Yosemite collection agency (merced,ca)( local company------------$14,000 3. NCO Finicial-----------$996 All total comes down to $18,000 I am divorced, unemployed and still wanted to repair my credit so i contacted two of agency and try to find my best options. MCM saying if I pay them $1600 they will forget rest. NCO saying if i pay them $500 they forget rest. I havent talk to yosemite as they are local to me and I am scared to contact them. I am not sure if i need to file bankrupcy or not I also contacted debit collection (careonedebit) agency they said if i pay $243 for 60 months terms it will come down to zero but i read in some online posts that credit score still not repaired or effected even after paying to collection agency. So I am lost what to do???? I hope someone help me. I dont want to live with such burden on my life.
